Winter won’t last long, so better make the most of it. Eat it. Wear it. Love it.

The most memorable thing in my mouth this week? A French Earl Grey Matcha.
Hand-whisked ceremonial Uji matcha infused with bergamot-rich Earl Grey,
topped with cream and orange zest. Citrusy, creamy, refreshing for a Winter’s Day.
Served on ice, but still warm with spice from the tea.
It’s a little indulgence and I’m still thinking about it when I get home.

Knitwear returns and makes me want to hug you, just to feel your jumper.
And your perfume, layer your scents. I’m sniffing your neck too. That’s winter magic to me.

Here’s what you need to be eating.

Here’s what you need to be cooking.
Potatoes - you might think they’re ordinary stodge, but they’re at their sweetest in winter. Yukon Gold or Dutch Creams, whatever you can get your hands on - creamy, rich, luxurious. To James (and the vegans), that’s their steak. These are the wagyu of potatoes. Kipflers? Pretty special too.
So pick your spud and now you’re on your way to making Lemon Potatoes. Steam them, toss them in extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice and the rind, crushed garlic, mustard, oregano, salt and black pepper before baking.
